The SX-1 PLASMA Knee Protector features a PLASMA Knee Protector embedded into a highly ventilated semi-rigid frame construction for superior impact protection, while the integrated Dual Gear System (DGS) promotes the natural articulation of the knee.
Key Features:
Highly Comfortable: The Nucleon PLASMA knee protector is constructed from a biobased viscoelastic material. Designed for multi-directional pliability, the protector molds to the knee for a close fit, effectively dissipating impact energy to deliver reliable protection.
Dual Density Co-Injected Frame for Support and Unrivalled Comfort: Engineered with a scooped lower extension made from a soft polymeric blend to avoid any pressure points associated with a hard edge from occurring as a result of the boot pushing against the protector. The same scooped design is also applied to the upper extension, preventing the protector from digging into the skin and causing discomfort while riding.
Controlled Natural Movement: Featuring the Dual Gear System (DGS) where both the upper and lower frames have integrated gear profiles that ensure a smooth hinge function to promote the natural articulation of the knee.
Ergonomic Frames with Versatile Sizing: The ergonomically sculpted frames of the SX-1 PLASMA Knee Protector feature strategically positioned rigid and flexible over-injected shells, providing a secure yet adaptive fit for a wide range of leg sizes.
Patella System Protection: The Patella System is engineered to offer full coverage of the knee cup regardless of the degree of extension while the rigid outer Patella System shell prevents injuries from handlebar strikes.

Upper and lower frames are constructed from a high-performance polymer for optimized levels of flexibility and strength as well as excellent weight-saving properties.
The upper and lower frames' integrated dual pivot hinge system follows the natural movement of the knee and keeps the protector well positioned while riding.
Frames feature a slim ergonomic design.
The dual strap closure system features a hook-and-loop closure with snap-fit buckles for easy in and out and a personalized, secure fit.
